A homeless man was slashed in the chest at a Midtown shelter Saturday — just three days after another homeless man was killed and nearly decapitated in an East Harlem shelter, officials said.

Suspect Mark Bradford, 48, a fellow resident, ran off but was soon nabbed on Lexington Ave. and E. 53rd St. He was charged with assault. The spat erupted after an early morning argument over Bradford smoking K2 synthetic marijuana in a shared room, said witness Umar Gregory, 49, who was staying at the shelter. He said Bradford returned hours later with a knife.
The victim needed six stitches to close the wound, cops said.
The 53rd St. Men’s Shelter is run by Samaritan Village. A call to a shelter spokesperson for comment was not returned.
On Thursday, 62-year-old Deven Black was murdered by his roommate at the Boulevard Homeless Shelter in East Harlem.
Black’s suspected killer, identified by police as 21-year-old Anthony White, remained on the loose Saturday
